The Importance of Child Evangelism

We should evangelize children because the Lord Jesus has commanded us to. His final command to us was “Preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16 v15). That includes children, of all ages. There is no way we can avoid or get round this command. It is simple, clear and definite.

Our Lord commanded us “Preach the Gospel to every creature.” There are not two gospels—one for adults and young people and another one for children. No! We are to preach the one and the same Gospel to all age groups. There may be differences in the way we present it or in the way we illustrate it but the message must always be the same.

Today there are many churches and individual Christians who have obeyed this command of the Lord Jesus and are evangelizing the children; and we praise God for every one of them. But observation and experience show us that these might, unfortunately, be in a minority.
